Behind the Scenes of Awarded Cases

Proving that Greek tourism is adopting practices and initiatives that promote innovation and high quality services, this year’s participants have raised the standards of the Tourism Awards to new heights.

Racing through the heights with outstanding web design and development, Mozaik Hospitality has put its years of expertise and know-how in practice for the creation of two exceptional websites.

COSTA NAVARINO (Silver Award)

Costa-Navarino

Objective

Costa Navarino is a luxury resort bridging together architectural harmony, gastronomic wealth, upscale services and versatile activities always with respect to the nature, tradition, history and heritage of the region. The challenge was to turn the actual experience into a responsive digital experience and bring the story of Costa Navarino to life.

Solution

Following an inspiring vision and methodical strategy Mozaik hospitality’s strategic, UI/UX design και development teams began to realize this dream. The first step was to rebuilt the website’s architecture and redesign its content. After thorough strategic and business studies of the company’s USPs and competitive advantages, a carefully chosen UX approach and Content Mapping has brought forward the content of Costa Navarino. Then after fully understanding the business, upscale services and brand identity of the resort a design concept was developed and the wireframes were visualized along with the code and post-development SEO, delivering a new multifaceted website destination that was aesthetically balanced and sales-optimized.

Results

The Costa Navarino website has succeeded in taking guests on a visual hospitality journey, triggering emotions and senses to engage customers and increase sales.

BRANCO MYKONOS (Bronze Award)

Branco mykonos website

Objective

The goal was to promote a brand new hotel in a very competitive environment with no content to work with. To introduce Branco Mykonos not only as a hotel but as an autonomous destination where one could experience accommodation, dining, wellness and enjoyment as never before.

Solution

The first step for the creatives of Mozaik Hospitality was to determine a profile for Branco Mykonos. A profile that would reflect the guests that the hotel wishes to attract, the cosmopolitan character of Mykonos and the hotel’s distinctive elements and services that make it unique. A microcosm of experiences. A Universe of You. The idea was to communicate this universe through a promotional video, one of the most successful ways to present a new hotel according to research studies.

According to Google/Ipsos MediaCT:

  • 3 out of 5 travelers who watch travel videos narrow down the brand, destination or activity choices
  • 37% of travelers watch travel videos when deciding which website to book on.

According to Expedia:

  • 45% of users booked instantly after watching a video of travel activity
  • 74% of business travelers say that they prefer to watch a video before making their final booking decision.

Results

The creative work that was performed on this project increased sales of the hotel itself and of individual hotel units proving once again that video promotion can achieve impressive results in a fully competitive environment even against already established competition.
